Airstrike on Lebanon’s Kounin, Leaves Three Dead, Four Injured
Airstrikes also reportedly hit the towns of Deir Aames, Upper Nabatieh, Srifa, and Hasbaya, further intensifying the military operations in southern Lebanon.
Israel has conducted repeated airstrikes and launched a ground offensive in the south following a cross-border attack by the Iran-backed group Hezbollah on March 2.
Lebanese officials report that at least 1,072 people have been killed and 2,966 injured in the ongoing Israeli attacks.
The latest escalation coincides with a broader US-Israeli campaign targeting Iran, which has reportedly resulted in more than 1,340 fatalities since Feb. 28. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes against Israel as well as locations in Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
