Israeli Airstrike in S. Lebanon Kills Entire Syrian Family, Including Kids

(MENAFN) Nine Syrian refugees from the same family, including six children, were killed on Saturday in an Israeli airstrike that hit a residential building in southern Lebanon, according to reports citing Lebanese authorities.

Lebanese state media said Israeli warplanes targeted a civilian home in the town of Adloun, located near the southern city of Sidon (Saida), in the early hours of the attack.

The Lebanese Health Ministry confirmed that the remains recovered from the debris all belonged to members of a single family.

The incident comes amid ongoing Israeli strikes in Lebanon, despite a ceasefire that took effect on April 17 and was later extended by 45 days starting May 17 following indirect negotiations mediated by the United States.
