Israeli Soldier Killed, Three Others Injured in S. Lebanon
Of the three wounded, one was listed in serious condition while the remaining two sustained minor injuries, the army said in a statement, adding that all casualties were evacuated to hospital for treatment.
The losses stemmed from an overnight drone strike carried out by Hezbollah, according to Israeli media.
The announcement came as Israeli forces pressed on with attacks across Lebanon in defiance of a ceasefire that took effect April 17 and was subsequently extended for 45 days beginning May 17, following indirect negotiations brokered by Washington.
The mounting human cost of Israel's continuing campaign across Lebanon was underscored Monday by figures from the Lebanese Health Ministry, which confirmed that Israeli attacks since March 2 have claimed the lives of more than 3,400 people nationwide.
